Lead Screening

McLaren Health Plan recognizes the importance of lead screening for children. Early lead exposure can lead to developmental delays and long-term harm. The good news is that childhood lead exposure can be prevented.

It is recommended to test children twice for lead; at least once by their 1st birthday and again before age 2. This is especially important if your young children have lead exposure risks. Check out the resources below to learn more about lead exposure and how to keep your children healthy. For questions and concerns about lead screenings, please call us at 1-888-327-0671 (TTY: 711).
