Getting Appointed to Sell McLaren Health Plan Products

Our appointment process begins with clicking on the “Get Appointed” link below. You will have an option during the application process to select Medicare Advantage, Individual and Medicare Supplement or all products. Please read the following before beginning.
Individual (on and off Exchange) and Medicare Supplement
To become an appointed and contracted agent for MHP Individual on and off exchange plans, you must have FFM (Federally Facilitated Marketplace) certification in addition to a valid Michigan Resident or Non Resident Producer’s license, and Errors and Ommissions (E&O) Insurance.
McLaren Medicare
Annual Medicare core certification through AHIP, NAHU, Miramar or Pinpoint is required to become an appointed and contracted McLaren Medicare agent. In addition, you must have a valid Michigan Resident Producer’s License and carry Errors and Omissions (E&O) Insurance.
Before you begin the appointment process through our agent portal, you should gather the following documents. You will be required to upload your certificates of completion for Annual Medicare Certification and/or Annual FFM Certification, as well as copies of your Michigan Resident or Non Resident Producers License, and E&O Insurance Certificate.
If you are appointing to sell our Medicare Advantage plans, you will be required to review the MHP Medicare Training and pass the MHP Medicare Exam. A passing score is 85% correct. You will have three (3) attempts to pass the exam. If you need assistance, please contact your MHP Agent Support team at 888-327-0671, Option 3.
When your appointment as an agent with MHP has been approved, you will receive a congratulatory email from an Account Service Representative within 48 hours. MHP doesn’t assign agent numbers; if you need to reference one, simply use your National Producer Number (NPN).
