Friction-Reducers: Patran Friction Reducing Sheets - Patrans should be used with all patients

• Should be used when a patient requires assistance moving up in the bed, turning, and can be used for lateral transfers
• Should be removed from under the patient when not in use (keep tucked at the foot of the bed)
• Blue Patrans are the standard size patrans.
• Pink Patrans are for Bariatric patients only.
• Kept in clean utility rooms throughout hospital
