Forty Years Later, McLaren Thumb Region Employee Still Enjoys Riding Pink Bike Into Work

For more than 40 years, the sight of Jeanne Krinkie’s pink bike has been a constant for hospital employees entering and exiting the hospital.

If the weather is agreeable, the longtime hospital housekeeper will ride her bike into work in time for her 5 a.m. shift.

On top of the peace of mind and energy boost she gets from her two-and-a-half-mile rides, riding her bike in also affords her the opportunity to chat with fellow co-workers — those noticing her bike often ask her how that morning’s ride was.

Jeanne and her ever-present bike recently caught the attention of the local media, with the Huron Daily Tribune taking the time and interest to talk to Jeanne and publish a story. (The article is accessible to subscribers.)

McLaren Thumb Region is fortunate to have such a dedicated team member.
