McLaren Health Plan offers generic medication savings tool

McLaren Health Plan has provided its members with a valuable healthcare resource aimed at lowering out-of-pocket costs for generic prescriptions.
Visitors to McLaren Health Plan’s Web page, (www.McLarenHealthPlan.org), can now click on a quick link to Medtipster, a new online healthcare search engine and price comparator designed to help Americans substantially reduce their healthcare costs. Visitors simply enter their prescription drug name, dosage, zip code, and instantly find prescription drugs available on discount generic programs. Many of these drugs are available for $4 or less and can be found right in their own neighborhoods.
“As partners in health, we want to provide our members with the tools they need to save healthcare dollars,” said Ed Harden, vice president of sales for McLaren Health Plan. “In these economic times, anything we can do to help is a wise investment in good health.”
McLaren Health Plan serves businesses and residents in 20 counties across northern, mid- and southeast Michigan. The health plan’s provider network includes more than 40 hospitals and 7,000 physicians and other care providers.
