AfterTrack Transition Program:
Keeping Rehab Progress Going
"You can only receive what you’re willing to give."
Miami Heat Coach Pat Riley
It’s your last day for supervised rehabilitation. So many thoughts going through your mind:
- I’ve met some great friends here. I don’t want to lose touch.
- The discipline of coming here has made my knee stronger and I can do things I haven’t been able to do for years. Can I continue this program on my own at this point?
- It would cost a fortune to join a gym and find this kind of exercise equipment.
As you sit down with your rehabilitation therapist for a final review, he mentions McLaren Bay Region’s AfterTrack Transition Program – created to assist patients move from supervised rehab to an independent exercise program. All the land-based equipment in the rehabilitation gym can be used between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The cost? Just $5 per session for a period of six months after rehab discharge.
You know you need to retain and improve the muscle strength you’ve built. Based on prior experience, you know: ‘If I don’t use it, I’ll lose it.’ You figure six months will offer the momentum to continue your exercise regimen as a lifelong experience. Sure you have a month to decide, but why not say "Yes!" today?
